HP Officejet 720

Ok so im attempting to help resolve a problem my neighbors are having with their printer..... it can not print.... on the status within the "queued window" it says error printing.... I tried to update the drivers from the HP website which i do know are out of date they have a 2001 version installed and the most current is an 04 version. When i try to download the more up-to-date driver it haults me and a error message says that it did not pass the windows logo licensing agreement.... Also when when i click on the little "pending document tab" in the right hand corner and try to open the troubleshooter within that window nothing opens a hour glass just shows up any help would be appreciated in this matter thank you for taking the time out and reading this...Bless

Re: HP Officejet 720

first we need to make sure the following:-

->the os of the computer installing the printer
->printer can be connected to the router or can be connected directly to the computre
with the usb.

assuming that it is connected to the computer with usb cable:

can follow the following steps:-

1)first make a note of the computer os
and make sure you download the correct printer driver.

2)turn off the firewall and sscurity software.

3)remove the printer queue and
you can delete printer icons from printer and faxes.

4)connect the printer to the computer using usb cable
the computer should detect the printer.

5)run the printer driver ,if already installed ,
uninstall and reinstalled the driver again

6)while running the driver, we should detect the printer
and should print.
