Canon Pixma feeds only on R side; then quits
Hello,
I use a Canon Pixma ip1500 and I just love it. It sat for about a month with very limited use (with paper, ready to go, online); I suspect dust particles settled in. I used some alcohol on a cotton swab (bad move!) and it almost shredded the cotton everywhere. After removing all traces of the cotton, it was quite clean and I let the copier sit for awhile, allowing any trace alcohol to dry (found it was only 50% alcohol, so I knew it would take a little longer for the other 50% water to dry). Turned it upside down and shook it like I meant it-just in case any pebbles or other foreign objects were causing jam...but still, No worky! When I try to print, it still grabs the paper only on the right and just about tears the paper corner off. I can see the roller moving, just don't get it. Then it either stops all together, displaying a "paper jam" error (appropriately) or the rollers continue trying to feed until I remove the sheets of paper. Please advise-it would really be appreciated! I now NEED my printer for work/school! Thank you, jjacqueli |
