Cry Hp Photosmart 8250 weird issue!

Hi! I have an Hp Photosmart 8250 that broke a while ago. I would like to see if I could fix it, because I really liked it, and I wouldn't want to wreck a good thing while I have it. (Like when a get a new printer, it's slow, or it prints bad pictures, it sucks ink, ect.) I have the infamous "Ink System Failure" message, and I have read and followed the given instructions that were known to work. I have reset the printer, but it hasn't worked, which means I need the firmware update. However, I can't find this anywhere, so I was wondering if there was an alternative, or if anyone could send me the file through email or personal website? Thanks a lot for your assistance!

Thanks, but what one do I choose to download? I have both OS X and Windows, so I hope it's available for both!

Re: Hp Photosmart 8250 weird issue!

This one is for OS X:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...product=443024

This one for XP: Driver
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...os=228&lang=en

Application for XP: Software
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...os=228&lang=en

This is what I recommend to do here:

1. Remove any printer software and driver from previous installations through add/remove in control panel
also check in program files folder for any left over folders that have to do with the printer.
2. reboot pc
3. Now since you had trouble before: download and install antimalwarebytes
here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
Run a full scan
4. turn on printer, but leave the usb disconnected for now.
5. Install the driver and software
6. During the installation you will be asked to connect the usb cable
to your pc and to the printer.
7. after installation finishes, reboot pc

Note: first the antimalwarebyte scan is to make sure you get a good install
of the printer. After scanning is done, wouldnt hurt to clean disc and delete temp files and cookies.
The other thing here is to repeat this same installation for the other window installation also as described above.
