Canon ip4500 connection to computer
I know this is a real stoopid question....Was just looking over the installation instructions for the printer. It says to connect the power cord to the outlet and then to the back of the printer. The only other cable with this is one with a usb on one end and the other end has what looks like the connection to a camera.
Question, how do you connect to the computer? Is there another cable with two usb connections I should have? Thanks from a newbie. |

Re: Canon ip4500 connection to computer
Yes you should have a USB 2.0 cable. That printer has one USB 2.0 port in the back which is used to connect the printer to the computer.
Unfortunately Canon neglected to include that for you, however the good news is that you can buy a USB 2.0 Printer cable at walmart for somewhere in the $20 range. Just make sure that it is for a printer (ask an associate if your unsure).

tHANKS for your reply........I rummaged thru all my old cables and found one and was able to connect. It wasn't easy to find the **** port in the back of the printer! Thanks again.
