Brother MFC-240C USB Printer- faded prints

since I put the Pirnter on a new computer, my colours are very faded. I have tried cleaning and changing cartridges, to no avail. Any ideas? I would like to print some nice photos but with the faded washed out colours, they do not look nice at all.
it has nothing to do with paper settings. hope some one can help.. thanks

Re: Brother MFC-240C USB Printer- faded prints

Thank you Riskyone101, I am a bit of a novice in adding and removing software. if I remove it will XP find it automatically back to reinstall it or do I need to put the disk in?
I normally have a technician do all that, but as I moved he is too far away to take my computer to him. thank you. I will be looking forward to your reply.

Re: Brother MFC-240C USB Printer- faded prints

Ok first thing to do here Download the uninstall tool:
http://welcome.solutions.brother.com...dlid=dlf002701
Note: there are directions on how to do it near bottom of page.
After your finished running it, reboot pc.

Go here for the driver and software:
http://welcome.solutions.brother.com...dlid=dlf002310

1. unplug the printer usb cable from the pc
2. leave printer on
3. install driver and software
4. connect the usb cable when the installation program tells you to, if it doesnt
then do this, turn off pc and connect it to the pc.
5. reboot pc or turn on pc.
6. test your printer for any problems now.
