Epson Printer Power
The User's Guide for my Epson Stylus Photo R800 says that I should always turn the printer off using the power button, never by turning off the 120VAC power. Why? What happens if, for instance, power fails while the printer is turned on?

Re: Epson Printer Power
Hello and Welcome to TSF,
Follow the manuals advice here. You can think of a pc in this position also, what happens to a pc when power gets cut off?...its not good for it. Samething for a printer or any electronic device for that matter, it does damage in a long term effect or sometimes short term.
