Can anyone help with my DELL printer?

I have had my Dell AIO 926 for a few years & it has been working perfectly, however it has been several months since I tried to print anything. I recently decided to print something & it said it needed to align the print cartridges, but then it said there was an error & to make sure the tape was removed from the cartridges. I have done this several times and still get the same error. I took the cartridges out and re-inserted them (keep in mind these are the same cartridges that I had in there for a long time without any probs.) I did recently move my furniture around in order to clean(back in Dec.) perhaps I knocked something loose?

Anyway then I tried to print & it was all pale & strange without any black at all. I cleaned the cartridges and it wouldn't print all the colors, only magenta. The last time I printed anything was before Dec. '08. I rarely print, but have had an overall very positive experience with my Dell, despite the bad reviews this particular model has recieved. So now it will not align, print, and is not able to properly able to clean the ink cartridges. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong with my printer?! Should I just buy a new one? Also I re-installed the printer drivers, uninstalled the printer and am going to re-install it after I get a new color cartridge (I ruined it accidentally in my frustration). This is so very frustrating & mystifying. If anyone has any suggestions please get back to me & I hope that I have clearly & adequately explained the problem.

Re: Can anyone help with my DELL printer?

Hello and Welcome to TSF,

Its very possible the ink has dried up in the cartridge, this will happen
when just sitting there and not being used. You will need to buy new ones.

Tip: every week or 2, print a page or 2 just to keep the ink working
and fresh, if your not going to use it for awhile, 1 page will work probably.
You can also use the head cleaner under properties.

Go here for the driver and software:
