print servers

I was going to buy anew printer and then saw that I could get a print server - to do this I either need an ethernet point or a usd point. I have a Canon Prixma MP170 printer - and all I can see is the port for pictbridge - can this be used for a USB??

Re: print servers

Welcome to TSF:

i pulled the printer up and it list this:

General Specifications
OS Compatibility
Windows XP/Me/2000/98
Mac OS X version 10.2.4 to 10.4.x

Standard Interface
USB 2.0 Hi-Speed***(cable not included)

it says it can be hooked to the computer or print server via USB, it's on the back of the printer.
