HP K60 and HP Vista interoperability

I have gotten a new HP Pavilion dv7-1245dx PC running Vista SP1. I am trying to connect an old HP K60 allin one printer on a USB port. The PC is not seeing the printer automatically. I have installed the HP K60 software and it does not dee the printer, scanner, or fax machine.
Any suggestions as to what I should do to correct this?

Re: HP K60 and HP Vista interoperability

If that is the original software for the K60 those drivers are made for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 SP3 or later, Microsoft Windows 2000.

Try uninstalling the software for the K60 and just connect the printer with USB. Vista should find the driver automatically. If it doesn't y0u will need to go on the HP website and check to see if Vista drivers are available for this printer. Or you can contact them.
