epson problems driving me crazy
I just bought new ink for this thing and it still says it's empty ,i dont understand this because not all the ink is empty just the colors not the black. All i need is the black but it seems it wont function without all ink cartridges full. It wont even print anything it just saves it as print pending even tho it's got enough ink to do the job ,i also reinstalled the software as well.

Re: epson problems driving me crazy
There is a very good reason why you need all the colors in order to print. The longer you wait to replace the missing ones, the greater the chance your printer will die. Read this for more info http://ccs-digital.com/inkjetcare.asp

Re: epson problems driving me crazy
''yeah ,that's pretty funny ,im so laughing out loud''...
(So always replace ink cartridges as soon as they are empty. At about $3 a cartridge, it's foolish not to) That's funny i pay 20$ a cartridge ,''freaking scam''!!! I always knew there was a catch ,that's probably why micro center gave it away for nothin ,cutting deals behind my back. ''That's it'' im buying a real printer that doesn't take advantage of me like some drug dealer or one that doesn't do it as much ,like one that prints when colors run out. shenanigans!!!!!!!!!!!!! Freedom!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last edited by name is guy; 05-20-2009 at 08:45 PM. |

Re: epson problems driving me crazy
What's the model of the Epson. I get my Epson cartridges here for about $10 apiece.

Re: epson problems driving me crazy
If you're paying $10 and $20 a cartridge, you're being ripped off. Check out http://ccs-digital.com They have a re-usable cartridge where the ink is in a separate tank. WHen the tank is empty, you pop it out and pop in a new one. The chip resets to full and you're good to go. The ink tanks are under $3 and hold 66% more ink than the OEM product. I've been using them for years.
