EEK! Hp 5550

My 5550 has stopped normal printing. I have media center xp OS.

The printer will print the test page during driver re-install. Then it goes back to sending a blank page as the print job.

I have uninstalled and re-installed What's next?

Re: Hp 5550

Hi,
This sounds very much like mine - still unresolved :( . Please read my ' 5552 won't print a file ' on next page down. HP have been most helpful - get onto their tech support - have you run their diagnostic tool. Also under Device Manager - USB 'tree', can you actually see the printer as well as the HP support file

Re: Hp 5550

Right click My computer - Properties - Hardware - Device Manager. With the printer ' ready ' click on the little + next to IDE ATA/ATAPI Cont. You should get IEEE 1284.4 Dot4 files dropped down. If not, this could be your problem
