I posted this in the Vista support two weeks ago. Not sure why i put it there and not here. I have marked that one as solved (it's not) and c&ped everything here.
--------------------------------- I have a HP Officejet 7300 series networked on three computers. It works on the other two (a HP MediaCenter desktop running XP SP3 and a PowerBook G4 running Leopard) but it isn't working on this one, which is a HP Slimline desktop running Vista Home Basic. The service printer spooler is started, set to automatic. When i try to print something, it shows up in the printer status, but never prints. In the control panel, it says the printer is offline. There is an option to use offline, which makes it say Offline-Offline. There is nothing that i see to make it say Online or Ready. Help? Quote:
I just remembered we were able to print a test page when we first set it up. It didn't work at first, because at that time the spooler service was stopped. I started it and it worked. Not anymore. I didn't change anything. It won't even print a test page. It just lists it in the queue with no error messages, so it seems as if it's about to print any moment. And yes, my printer is turned on. |
