multiple in tank error
My Canon Pixma 500 printer has started giving an error message that I have more than one ink tank of a color installed. So far I have been able to get rid of it by removing and reinstalling the yellow tank but I had to do it about 25 times today before the error message went away.

Re: multiple in tank error
The chip on the cartridge is malfunctioning, and the error will go away with a new cartridge installed. Be careful of the chip, as it is an IC Chip, a static discharge(shock) will render it useless.
