HP2210xi All In One printing problem

I have had this printer about 6 years. Been a gem until recently it started having a problem with printing. It prints fine except about one inch into the page it starts printing blurry for about 2 inches. So basically I get this vertical stripe 2 inches wide from top to bottom of blurry text. The rest of the text is fine. Can't figure out why. Tried tech support but they just kept having us reset and clean cartridges which we had already tried.

Any ideas before I ditch this printer and go buy a new one? THanks!

I'm guessing it might be your printhead but you would be better off getting a new printer, Here's the one i have it too is a aio (all in one) http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=12695&pq-locale=en_US&_requestid=7395 It prints beautifully and uses less ink then other printers plus it's ink is cheap (cost's less)

I am starting to think you are right. I have been considering the Kodak printers simply for the low cost in ink. I use a lot of ink!
