Lexmark X4530

Hi all
Cant seem to get Lexmark support to respond to my question.
Maybe one of you with the knowledge can help
I have recently bought the above printer and it is hooked up via USB to my PC running Vista 32Bit.
I cant stand the printer starting up every time I boot my PC.
Anyway to keep this printer from turning on every time I boot?
It is not listed in my start-up programs.
Any help with a solution or workaround would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Re: Lexmark X4530

right back at ya
I leave my Lexmark 8350 turned OFF all the time, and when I use it (rarely) manually turn it ON. Once a month I print a page of something just to keep the ink moving, then turn it OFF, place my dust cover over it until the next time.
Connected via USB on XP Home, but that shouldn't have any positive or negative consequences.
:waveing goodbye now

Re: Lexmark X4530

Thanks
But therein lies the problem.
Even if I turn it off manually and leave it off...It STILL turns ON by itself when I boot up the PC
I need to know how to keep it from turning on when I boot up my PC because even if the printer is off it will still turn on automatically.
Thanks for your help

Re: Lexmark X4530

The only thing I can come up with is that it is more of a Vista problem than a printer problem. This may work. Uninstall the printer completely, reboot and reinstall BUT don't turn Printer ON until prompted to by installation process. This is paramount with Vista OS , XP could care less what you do and auto corrects.
Hope this helps
