HP 1220 C not printing, spitting pages out.
Hi there, I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have a HP 1220C printer that is refusing to print. On the surface all seems well, it is powering on ok, there are no lights flashing, but when I send a print job through all it does is suck through one page and spit it out. The computer then registers the job as finished, but nothing has actually been printed.

Re: HP 1220 C not printing, spitting pages out.
First you need to narrow down just where the problem lies. Is it the printer or the program containing the page you want to print.
Shut down your computer, turn the printer off, leave everything off for a couple of minutes. Turn the printer on and re-boot the computer. Once you're back up and running try to print anything from any program other than the program that produced the blank pages. If the printer still spits out a blank page you know you have a problem with the printer which may require uninstalling and re-installing the printer drivers. If the print-out comes through fine, go back to the original program and try to re-print the page that came out blank, but before you print take a look at a print preview to ensure the page is actually registering. (To preview a print click on "File" in the upper left-hand corner of the program and look for and click an entry that says "Print Preview.") |
