Brother MFC-420CN not communicating with computer
I am trying to install a new printer/scanner/fax. I have XP. The USB and the power cables are plugged in. The printer is located in my printers folders. The display is working and says it's ready, although I've been getting unable to initialize errors too. When I try to print anything, I get an error and the printer doesn't even blink. The test pages don't print either. I downloaded all of the drivers on the Brother website. I've tried 2 different USB cables. I don't have the software that came with it so I'm hoping that is the problem.
