Lexmark X1190

Hi guys,

I gotta problem with my mothers printer, in short it won't print at all.
At first I thought the cartridges are blocked, so I bought a new black one, because I only want to print documents.
But after putting in the new cartridge nothing changed, a clear white paper is coming out.
The ink level for the black is full and for the color its nearly full.
So please help me

Thanks in advance

Re: Lexmark X1190

Can you be a little more descriptive? What is it you're trying to print and what is it's source? Have you tried to print a simple text file?

Re: Lexmark X1190

Hi,

Well, I'm having the same problem as Seelanfang. I try to print word documents but only the coloured parts of the document will print whereas the black parts won't. I've tried simple text documents but the paper just comes out blank, it simply won't print. I don't understand why it suddenly won't print even though both cartridges are full and i've replaced the black ink cartridges several times.

I'd be extremely grateful for any help.

Thanks

Re: Lexmark X1190

Try installing the drivers from the Manufacturers site..

Have you tried printing a standalone test page?

Re: Lexmark X1190

Hi,

I've just tried installing the drivers again but it still won't print the black parts of the document. I've tried printing test pages but again, the black parts won't print. Is there anything else I can do to fix it?

Thanks
