epson stylus cx7450 won't install

When I first tried installing the printer with the software cd it installed but when prompted to do a print I received an error message:

spoolsv.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x00200000" referenced memory at "0x00200000". The memory could not be "written".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

I tried reinstalling it and now after the software instructs me to connect the printer the installation freezes and is unresponsive.

I've tried installing it without the disc by adding the printer in wizard and get the message operation could not be completed. The print spooler service is not running.

I've also tried restarting print spooler in administrative tools as well as searching the epson page for help. Still nothing works. Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

The problem is not the printer but the windows print spooler. Google print spooler and you will find lots of information on fixing this. Here's one link from microsoft

Once you get it working, try http://ccs-digital.com/ink.asp for cheap compatible cartridges which will work for your printer. I'm using them with my CX8400. I've been using CCS cartridges for years.
