Cannot Complete HP Printer Setup

I just purchased an HP C7280 printer and make it through the entire HP install until selecting the connection type, USB or network. When I select network, it finds the printer, I highlight it and select enter and get a message indicating that the program is waiting for the printer to finalize and the printer has been detected. Then, I get a X in a red circle indicating that "Printer setup failed to complete". This happens with wireless and wired. For USB it can't seem to find the driver and fails to complete. Any idea what is causing this? I had a HP c6180 before and removed the software before this new install. Just a little baffled.

Are you installing the correct drivers for it? You will likely require ones specifically for Vista.
