Dell A10 Printer 940 missing text
When I am printing from my Dell a10 printer 940, it is missing text from some lines. It is not missing the whole line, but just parts of it. It appears that maybe some of the ink is not coming out on each pass as it prints. The cartridge is new, so that is not the problem. THe printer was not used for several months, so I am not sure if there is some ink stuck somewhere that is causing this issue. Any help is appreciated.

I am facing an almost identical issue with my HP PSC 1610xi. Did you ever have this resolved? The only information I can offer is that it doesn't seem to be a problem sending information from the computer, because the same problem occurs from a test page printed directly from the printer.

The cartridge head has a clog, take out the cartridge, set it in a saucer of warm water.
Saucer of warm water= Saucer, warm water, and a folded paper towel, add just enough water to soak the paper towel, set the cartridge head on the paper towel. Let the cartridge soak for an hour or so. Dry the cartridge with tissue Gently. Re-install into printer and try to print. |

Excellent suggestion. Actually, I messed up and responded yesterday to this original post from several months ago (This is my first time in this forum.) thinking someone was responding to my post. (Hard to explain.) I do not have this problem with my printer at this time. But I am going to keep your great suggestion for future use!
