Printing on paper with Glossy surface
I've HP All in one series, OfficeJet printer. I printed on (in Normal mode) a glossy paper (with self adhesive, which can later be used as a sticker). It printed perfectly well. But the problem is that the ink is not drying up even after two hours. If I touched the surface, the ink is getting smudged. Is there any solution for this problem? Can somebody suggest a printer (HP or EPSON) which can print on glossy paper with quick dry-up ink. Would a Laserjet printer be of help? Pl. help.

Re: Printing on paper with Glossy surface
Is there not a setting for the method of printing, you have to change a setting on most printers so the ink is put onto the paper and then warmed or something to make sure it sticks.

Re: Printing on paper with Glossy surface
I thought of printing in Photo Mode. But as you said, the printed ink may get warmed up for quick dry up and at the same time the paper may get wrinkled (due to the glue on the other side) and stuck in the printer. This is the risk I didn't want to take, fearing damage to the printer. Anyway, since you said it, I will take the risk and print it in Photo Mode. Thank you very much for the response.

Re: Printing on paper with Glossy surface
I dont quite understand. Did you change the manufacturer of the ink or the paper? Epson ink is formulated differently than other manufacturers and I have had great results with all sorts of paper, stickers included, but before you go out and buy another printer, it really should work with yours. Another thought: humidity. Are you working in a temperature-controlled environment?

Re: Printing on paper with Glossy surface
I didn't change anything. Also I don't have any choice as far as the ink is concerned. I have to use prescribed ink cartridges as others (for instance, Epson) do not fit in a HP AIO series Officejet. I work in a normal office environment where the humidity could be 60 to 70%, I am not sure.
