epson lx 300 dot matrix print problem. could it be to do with parallel to usb lead?
hi i have recently purchased an old epson lx 300 for an art project. the guy who i bought it off assures me it works properly when plugged parallel to parallel and the in built test function works fine.
my problem is that after i have installed the drivers using the add printer function on the control panel the printer still shows as offline and will not print. i have had to buy a parallel to usb wire to plug into my pc so not sure if this is were the problem is coming from. i have tried changing the usb port that the printer is on using a variety of ports including LPT2, USB002 and usb001 (which is the port my other printer works on) but had no luck. has anyone got any suggestions? thanks |
