Printer/Computer Compatibility
Hello: After the computer is turned on, it does not recognize the printer-HP 5440. The missing printer is uninstalled and then reinstalled. During reinstallation, the process stops and asks of a "fix it"/"fix all" of the print spooler. Printer is then installed. I turn the computer off, (which can only now be done through the "end program"), and then back on. The situation is as before-the computer does not recognize the printer. HP e-mail support could not find a solution. I e-mailed msn Windows, but have received nothing as of yet.
