The company I work with uses a 6yr old accounting program to print their checks from. The form for the checks is detailed by line numbers that apparently the Lexmark 2400 dot matrix printer understands and prints them just fine. The problem we are having is that we are trying to print checks from a new office with a new Epson 590 dot matrix printer. The Epson prints fine but when print on the check forms it prints lower and lower as the tractor feeds in the forms. After about 2 to 3 checks we have to start over or the forms are wasted.
I can't find anything in the printer setup that would suggest a problem and the check form settings in the software are exactly the same as with the lexmark. The only thing that is different is the printer. I tried adjusting the start position of the paper feed and made sure they are pressing the "load" button before printing, but none of this made any effect. This is a very urgent concern and I deeply appreciate any help you guys can offer. |
