weird epson printer -stylus c 46- behaviour
Hi,
this is what happened: (ink cartridge is full with ink) I did the print test: yellow was missing, black-cyan-magenta were ok. I started the automatic cleaning from the utility panel. Through the following print tests, yellow lines started to show where there was first only magenta. In the end there was just a thick beautiful yellow bar in the default place for magenta, and no magenta anymore. Nothing printed in the default place for yellow, while black and blue bars were still ok. More cleaning utility -> striped colors (no yellow). I can't see what happens. It makes no sense to me that colors exchange place when I do the print test. I swear I didn't take drugs or such things. It looks weird enough, besides, that after the cleaning the print is striped, when before the cleaning it is not. |

Re: weird epson printer -stylus c 46- behaviour
it sounds like you have a clogged printer head. This is preventing the correct ink from making it to the paper. Sometimes this can be solved by running several cleanings. Sometimes you need to drop in some alcohol to dissolve the clot.

Re: weird epson printer -stylus c 46- behaviour
Thank you.
I already tried the cleanings and a proper solvent from the ink shop, I'll try both some more times. Anyway, I can't see how the eventual clog could bring inks to switch their places. Couldn't it be because of some software problem? I already tried updating the printer drive also, anyway. |
