Printing Problem - Spool related?
Hi all,
----- Problem ------- Ok, I have 2 printers; An apple LaserWriter8500 and a Xerox Phaser 7400DN. The Phaser7400 works fine... I just added the IP that was given to me by the printer LED screen and voila... Now as for the Apple 8500, Xp has by default the right drivers for it. I do a simple install by searching the local printers on the network, it then finds it, ( I see 3 printers, Adobe PDF with 0 files in queue, The 7400 with 0 files in queue and then finally the 8500 with 9 files in queue...) hmm okay keep on with the installation, all is well, i set it as default printer... then double click the printer in the printer list, and it lists me all the current jobs waiting to be processed, all 9 of them, first one has the 'error' message next to it, under the status tab. And everything is still under the " PAUSE " option... I cant delete or resume any jobs.... ------- What I've tried ------------- Now ive tryed to ' UNPAUSE ' the jobs... no can do. And Ive also tried to ' CANCEL ' the jobs... doesnt work either... and Finally to clear all jobs in queue from the file menu... nothing happends. The window also says ' Acces Denied. Unable to connect ' ? I've stoped the Spool service, restarted it, restarted the computer No luck. I've tried also deleting the Spool folder where the jobs are supposed to me archived while they print out.... funny enough the folder is empty. I know that the printer doesnt have enough memoey to keep it onboard so the error is windows related.... Restarting pc/printer numerous times.... Ive also downloader a program from microsoft to fix spool errors, NO luck... (Ive tryed adding the printer plenty of different ways, with no luck) TCP/IP, browsing for it, etc. I managed to print out ONE sheet with the 8500 before all went wrong. Now they just add to the queue, and nothing happends. Finally Im here. Any ideas ? Heres a few pics. Notice the ' 0 ' that usually indicates the number of jobs in queue yet there are still 9.... Error processing command after unpausing or deleting jobs status "error" thats always good. 9 documents, yet theres nada in the spool folder.. |

Hey,
I have this SAME problem now. Did you ever fix this problem and how? My HP 895cxi is on a wireless network. All of the 9 ghost documents in queue are blank and have no details (size, owner, etc.), and whenever I do try to print a document it somehow adds to the number of ghost documents. This is what does NOT work Restarting the spooler/printer/pc Stopping then Starting spooler Canceling Documents Unplugging printer Does anyone have the answer? It would be much appreciated. |
