Re: Suggest a printer
I recommend Epson cx series scanner/copier/printer (cx7400/cx8400) because of the print quality and the warranty. For a year Epson will express-ship a replacement and pick up the old one. Ink cartridges are expensive, but you can get cheap replacements which work well here http://ccs-digital.com/ink.asp
You can find the printers at buy.com, usually in the $60-$70 range BEFORE rebates, if any. Since your budget is higher, you might want to look at R280, R585 etc. There is a $100 rebate on R280 until 6/30 if purchased with any digital camera. There are some limitations, so read it carefully http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/B...=C&coid=-13586 |

Re: Suggest a printer
thanks for your replies guys. But it seems Epson cs serios is expensive one after getting the product, by spending lot in ink.
And it seems it will consume ink even for scanning a document ! How abt canon pixma MX700. MP530 etc ? |

Re: Suggest a printer
My link was for the Canon Pixma MP610 which is the new model of my printer.
It is a fantastic printer and i could not fault it in any way. The models you quoted are good also it's just a matter of personal choice.

Re: Suggest a printer
I have been using Epson printers for well over 10 years. I have an Epson cx3810 for several years now still going strong and a Cx7450 for a few months. I have gotten Epson printers for lots of family members including the cx8400 and cx5000. Using compatible cartridges we dont pay a lot for ink and they dont use ink to scan a document. I dont know how this can even be. The scans are great. I have scanned in such things as cereal boxes and printed output that is difficult to tell from the original. We had one printer (a cx8400) which gave problems after a few months and Epson was quick to replace it and pick up the bad one at their expense. That is why I recommend it. Right now they have a July 4 sale on the cx9400fax for $99 at epson.com You can also go to buy.com and read the many positive reviews from customers.
