Colored dots

i have a dell 3100cn printer and recently i noticed that when I print any document there are these colored dots (cmyk, one of each) randomly printed throughout the page. They are really small and look like smudges. Does anyone know how to get rid of these?

Try cleaning, reinstalling, and buying a new color cartridge. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you.
