Cannot autorun or run setup, HP deskjet 3420

Hello, have been having problems with my hp 3420, kept getting a system error every time i tried to print off something. Did an uninstallation and now am totatally stuck. The installation cd won't autorun or run setup, click either of them and it seems like something is happening but nothing comes up in the end. I've even tried a desktop install (I know it works for games, not sure about other software) and that didn't work either. The disc works fine on other computers, so somethings gone wrong for this one.

So there you have it. Can anyone help me?

Try to download the drivers from the web.

uninstall the other hp printer software before loading the above software.
