I do my work at home on my computer but i am not able to print my work at home so I store my work on my memory stick, take it to school and I print my work at school. The problem is when I open my documents to print the layout changes, my headings, spacing etc. They completely change from the way I had set them. Please help me and tell me whats wrong.

Re: Printing mess up
baby angel,
What software are you using to create your documents? It sounds like you're using different versions of Word or some other program between the two PCs or you have different default template attached to those documents. Reply with more information and I can probably offer a workable solution. - John

Re: Printing mess up
Are you using diffrent word processors?
If the school and yourself are using diffrent Word versions it has to convert from your version to theirs and vice versa. If your using 2007 and they are using 2003, you would have to save the file in the older format in order for the file to be read by the school computer. If they are using 2007 and your using Word 2003 usually it will not read it unless you install a patch from the microsoft website to have it open docx files. It is very unlikely your using a Word version as old as 2.0, 6.0, 95 or 97. Each Word version acts in a slighty diffrent behavior, as in margins, text etc. Last edited by woodss : 05-05-2008 at 04:44 PM. |
