HP psc 1315 - Vista

How do I align a new cartridge when the scan button doesn't work in vista?
I changed the cartridge and now can't print as it's offline.

Re: HP psc 1315 - Vista

Here is what HP says to try.

1. Shut down the computer.
2. Disconnect the USB cable and the power cable from the
back of the unit.
3. Plug in the power cable only to the unit.
4. Print an alignment page.
5. Place this alignment page on the scanner glass (Steps to place the
page corectly are given in the web link given below).
6. Press scan button on the unit.
7. Turn the unit off and switch it back on after 10 seconds.
8. If alignment page is not printed, then connect the printer back to
the computer and start the computer.
