Vertical lines on HP 1022n print
Have a problem with a HP Laserjet 1022n. I get some weird vertical lines about 3/4 in from the left side. The lines are swaying and sometimes seem to cross each other. (It looks like someone has been freeskiing in powder snow)
![]() I have changed the print cartridge to a new one but the problem persist. Anyone know how to solve this? |

Re: Vertical lines on HP 1022n print
If replacing the cartridge didn't work, the you have some debris in the print path. It could be contaminants on the fuser or bits of paper or lint in the print path blocking the laser. The simplest solution to try is buying some laser printer cleaning sheets from Office Depot, etc, and running them through the printer. If that doesn't work for you, I think you either need a service call, or you should buy a service manual if you are a do-it-yourself person. PartsNow, Depot America, and PrinterWorks are good sources for HP parts and manuals.
