Hi everyone, this is my first post here!
My CX3500 seems to function properly, but when i try to print or copy something, the pages come out blank, the ink levels are almost full. I'm pretty sure it's the cartridge nozzles, i followed the manual and tried to clean them, but it still doesn't work. Any help on cleaning or opening the nozzles or what else could it be? Or do i simply buy new cartridges? Thanks a lot! ^^ Redwing_San |

When you say you followed the manual, does that mean you went into the cleaning routine either from the Printer control panel or the one in the computer/printer section and ran the print head cleaning routine followed by the nozzle print check. ??? You also mentioned the 'Cartridge Nozzles'......but the nozzles are not on the cartridge. They are a permanent part of the print head/carriage assembly. You cannot physically reach them without disassembling the printer, which of course would void your warranty. The cart is nothing but an ink tank. It either has ink in it, or it doesn't. Have you been using Genuine Epson Ink? If you're using Epson Ink and the printer still refuses to print even after multiple cleaning cycles, then Epson will probably send you a new printer. But you have to call them and ask them. They sent me two new printers last year because of the CD print slides jamming in the printer. Other than that, both printers worked 100%. Give them a call. That's my best advise, as a factory trained Epson tech. (now retired) Good luck, The Shadow

Re: Epson Stylus CX3500 maintenance
Sorry, you're right, i meant the nozzles on the printer, and yes, i went trough the cleaning procedure you mention. i haven't tried calling them because my guarantee already expired (i probably should've mentioned i'm located in Mexico, so when the guarantee expires, you can call them and send it, but you have to pay for the repairs

There is NO cleaning method that I'm aware of. That sounds more like a logic problem. When I was in the field service center, I replaced many print heads, but I also replaced quite a few logic boards. ![]() Buying a new printer from Epson's Web-Store would probably be your cheapest route. I just bought a refurbished scanner for $79 that would have cost me way over $100 from any other source. I once got a CX3200 for $69. I'm still using it, and, I refill the ink carts myself. I do wish you the very best. Y'all have a great day now, Y'hear? The Shadow
