hp 1015 laser getting extra letters

all of a sudden, when i print i get extra letters on my document pages which are not on the digital documents on the screen. same docs i've been printing for years, al of a sudden have extra letters. from nowhere. i can't figure out where they are coming from. help plz.

what type of documents? are the letters always the same or different?
