Printing Problem - No Device
I have been out of town for a week and just came back home and can't print with my Dell Inspiron 710m. It keeps saying no device and documents always fail to print. I have not changed any settings that I know of. My printer is a Brother MFC-420CN. It is a network printer. My boyfriend is usually pretty good with computers and can't figure out what is wrong. We have checked the network connection, tried reinstalling the printer, and tried to do a system restore to two earlier dates. Nothing! Sometime during the night something that I did try to print yesterday miraculously went through because there was a printed page setting in the tray of the printer. But I was asleep when it happened so I am perplexed. We are at a loss as to what to do. My Dell still says no device. Any ideas so I don't have to do a factory reset??? It is such a pain to do that. Thanks for your help.
