Canon Pixma IP5000

If the color tanks run out of ink, does it harm the print heads if I print in grayscale?

Re: Canon Pixma IP5000

Hi john_Novacaine Welcome to TSF
The printer may not print at all with an empty cartridge.
Also if you run the print heads dry, they will dry out then if you want to use the colors again you will need to replace the heads.
