Canon Printer Problem
Hi all,
I recently purchased a Canon MP210 all in one printer. As soon as I got it I followed all the instructions, put the ink cartridges in and paper and connected it up to my computer. Instead of using the installation disc I downloaded the drivers from the canon website, I installed the drivers and switched on the printer, I then tried to print and got an error message saying "no communication" so I then went into the device manager and saw that the printer has an ! next to it. I then uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them but still got the same error, I then tried using the CD, but still got the same error. I am using windows vista home premium 64-bit. Any ideas? |

Re: Canon Printer Problem
Hmm...did you select the right OS for the printer sofware which is windows 64bit
http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/co...&modelid=15402 Are you sure your windows is 64bit in the first place. Right click under my computer and see under the general tab, whether or not is there anything that says it is 64bit. If it doesn't chances are it is 32bit instead If you are sure software is right, try switching USB port |

Re: Canon Printer Problem
hi, thanks for replying
Yes, I selected windows 64 bit drivers and I'm certain Im using windows 64 bit, Ive tried it in a different USB port and get the same error. I just tried installing again just now and windows said this at the end of installation "this program may not have installed correctly" I then went into device manager and double clicked on the printer and it said "this device is not configured properly". |
