need help w canon pixma mp450 printer

It says I have a paper jam. I don't see anything in there. I don't know how to open it all up. I can open the top and see nothing. I tried resetting and that doesn't work either. I'm so frustrated. My husband swears there is nothing in there. Is there some way to open this thing other than the top part that you open to change the ink cartridge? I don't know what else to do, but throw it out the window.

Probably no one *here* has figured it out yet. I got my Pixma printer "free" (rebate) with purchase of a laptop, and now I see why it was "free". I'm going to visit the Canon site and see if they have a fix.

I have exactly the same problem. There is nothing in there, but I still get the "paper jam" message. What is really frustrating is that one day ago I spent more than 60 euros for two new ink cartridges. This is definitely the last Canon I will buy unless there is a quick and easy fix.

Too late to solve the paper jamming problem. I junked the printer (it was a piece of junk anyway) and bought an HP.
