Lexmark 6250 all in one printer

I am using a Lexmark 6250 printer.I have been refilling the ink cartridges with no problems,untill a few days ago.Now when I put the cartridges in I get this message"color cartridge missing"even though it is in place.What is wrong,can someone help?

Hi Clarence1206 and welcome to TSF

Try reseating the cartridges. Also try it with another cartridge and clean the nozzles on the cartridges. Then clean out the printer with compressed air.

Would it make a diffence if one of the cartridges was empty...or would the printer say ink cartridge is low?

I am not sure, but try filling the empty one up to and see what that does for you.
