Cannot re-install printer-spooling error

HI-
After Dell replaced my motherboard I needed to re-install my printer. It will not allow me to do so, however, due to a spooler error. I went directly to the spooler "page"/window and it showed it was stopped and I attempted to start it (both automatically and manually), but all I get is error 1608. I can't start the spooler and I can't reinstall my printer. Checked prior threads and I have the spoolerv.exe file...none of the prior thread advice helped me. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help you can give. Melissa

Hi MelissaMI and welcome to TSF

When you try to enable the printer spooler service you had said that it gave you a error message? Can you please post up a screenshot of what that looks like?

Try doing it from from the services.msc window from the run command.

The error also states "1068 -Dependency service/or group failed to start."
What else must I do?
