Which Deskjet prints cardstock best?
I need to buy a new Deskjet and printing small cardstock and envelopes is important to me, so anyone have any advice to offer? My guess is that the paper path shouldn't have any sharp bends in it. (One HP all in one (F380) I have tried has an extremely sharp U-turn, as the material comes back just a half inch above where it goes in; and that doesn't work well!)
I've had pretty good luck with my 5 year old Lexmark Z52 but now have to replace it ASAP. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give both here for others to see and directly to me at Ray@LiberalsLikeChrist.Org . Last edited by Rayosun; 12-19-2007 at 06:27 PM. Reason: added material |

Re: Which Deskjet prints cardstock best?
When buying card for printing consider the direction of the GRAIN. The Grain should be parallel to the feed edge. To test the GRAIN hold the card at it's edges and bend gently then grip at the other edges and you will then see which is the easiest. If the Grain is parallel to the feed edge it will negotiate the bends in the printer and cause less damage.
