hp laserjet 4mp strange problem
I've gone through the whole troubleshooting flowchart on this won. hope someone has seen it before-
this morning: all was working from my macbook via appletalk to my wireless router which is ethernet cabled to the laserjet 4mp. this evening- the mac thinks it's sending a job. the printer responds somewhat but doesn't print and the mac thinks the job is complete. printer response: as normal, when the file begins to transfer the "ready" light blinks (total of eight times). During this the "form feed" light comes on for about seven of those blinks. Then the "on-line" light stays on throughout. Printer starts up prints a test page fine, and when confirming the setup from the computer, it blinks- as far as the computer can tell, all is well. I have performed a cold reset and also an I/O reset. Power cycled a few times as well, and rebooted the mac, deleted the printer, and reestablished computer and printer connections- renamed the printer. I'm about out of things to try. Help- and thanks- JCM |
