Hardware

I refill my ink cartridges for my Canon iP4300.
I would like to know how I can reset the Status Monitor
so that it thinks I put in a new cartridge. I know how to
disable it, but I would like to be able to use it. Thanks

Re: Hardware

Welcome to TSF
With iP4300 you typically will lose ink level monitoring when using refills.
The cartridges now have chips on them that have to be replaced or reset to allow ink level monitoring.

Whether by choice or by chance, Canon is still the least hostile toward refillers, other printers will simply shut down unless fed OEM carts.
The only refiller/supplier that I know of that offers reset carts for iP4300 is AtlanticInkjet.

Re: Hardware

There are some products out there that allow you to reset the cartridge chip, such as this: http://www.printclearly.co.uk/acatal...fill_Kits.html. Whether there is one suitable for Canon I don't know.
