printer head calibration error photosmart 3210

I have a hp photosmart 3210 and when it wants to do scheduled maintenance to align the printer cartridge head it takes in the paper and then it spits it out saying insert plain white paper. I have plain white paper i am using hammermill 96 brightness 20lb weight. I contacted hp and they can't figure it out. The printer works fine except for the scheduled maintenance part. Anybody have a fix for this?

I have the same issue and so far nothing works to fix it including uninstalling/reinstalling the software. If anyone has suggestions, I'm listening!
