I have a Lexmark Z480 wireless printer. The printer works well wirelessly e.g. it can print a test page, print a pdf document. It works until I try to print from MS Word (Service pack two or Service pack 3) or Explorer. For these applications the print job either sticks in the in the print queue or I get the message "Cannot communicate with the printer". The Lexmark helpdesk tells me it is a Microsoft problem. The Lexmark website tells you how to clear the print queue but not how to fix the problem but not how to stop it happening. Any ideas on this problem, anyone?

Re: Lexmark Z1480 does not print from Word but will print from other software
I got the answer to this problem from Lexmark email support. Here it is if it helps anyone else
: 1. Click on Start. 2. Click on Control Panel > Printers and Faxes folder. 3. Right Click on Lexmark Z1400 series Printer. 4. Left Click on Properties. 5. Go to Advanced tab > Select Print Processor. 6. Select Print Processor as Winprint. 7. Select Default Data Type as RAW. 8. Click on OK and Close the Properties Window. 9. Restart your Computer and then try printing. |
