HP OfficeJet R80xi Scan Problem

Few questions:

I have a new XP computer and have found that I have to use the scanner/camera wizard, is that right? I did not load the CD that came with it as I was not suppose to, if I understand correctly.

I cannot use the front panel on the HP Office Jet R80xi for scanning, correct?

I have also found that when I go through the scanner/camera wizard that I do not have an option for .pdf files anymore, has anyone else found that to be true?

I was just on the HP website and it is also my understanding that HP is no longer giving me updates to this hardware.

If anyone has any knowledge in regard to this printer all in one it would be very much appreciated as I am tired of trying things and then finding out I do not have the capability. I do miss the software for this machine.

Welcome to TSF

Apparently this AIO is an older machine that might not provide full functionality under XP.
