Hello,
I have recently set-up a new home network using a Belkin N1 router. I have two printers, the main one is a black/white Samsung ML-3051N network laser for everyday printing which is linked to the Belkin router. This is set as default printer and works fine via the laptops and network wired PC, until we use the colour injet printer (a Canon ip4300) which we use for pictures. The canon is linked via usb to the wired PC. The Canon prints which is great, however as soon as you switch to print to the samsung, nothing, we just get error messages, ie can't find the printer (samsung), once you reload the software it finds the printer again until you switch to the Canon. Could someone please help? hopefully there's a simple fix, i'm using XP operating system. Thanks. |

Re: Samsung ML-3051N need to keep re-installing to work
It sounds like the canon software is conflicting with the samsung software.
How is the port set up on the samsung?(look under printer properties, ports select configure port) Try setting it up as a standard tcp/ip port and see if that works. Last edited by bogdraggon; 09-23-2007 at 06:40 AM. Reason: incomplete |
