pdf files do not print on HP F380

Hi,

I have a headache with printing pdf files on an HP F380. The system is a Dell Dimension 9000, P4 3GHz, 1GB RAM, with XPPro SP2 and all latest MS patches. The F380 is about a month old, with the version 7.0.1 drivers and software loaded from HP's CD. Everything else works fine except printing from Adobe Reader 8.1.0, the printer appears to start printing and just stops before it feeds the paper in.

On another system, Core 2 Duo 6420, 2GB RAM, with Vista Home Premium, with another F380 that is a week younger and has the version 8.0.1 drivers and software from HP's CD, there are no problems printing from Adobe Reader 8.1.0. In both cases, the user was logged on using an administrative account.

Any ideas?

Install the latest drivers on the faulty system.

Re: pdf files do not print on HP F380

Tried earlier today to print from Foxit PDF reader, and the page printed without any problems. The user is happy to continue with Foxit, especially since it loads about three times faster than Adobe!

I'll check the drivers though, I was under the impression that the CD (surprisingly) has the latest version. Thanks for the help anyway!

Re: pdf files do not print on HP F380

the cds have the latest version of the driver when they went to press I would always advice checking the manufacturers site for new drivers if a problem occurs as this should always have the latest version with all the bug fixes.
