Dell AIO A940 Encoder strip fell off
There was a 0502 error with the printer, so I tried fixing it by re-positioning the encoder strip. Thing is, as I was repositioning it, the strip completely fell off. Does anyone know/can anyone help me how to put back the encoder strip in place. On the left side of the printer (when looking facing it) theres a little hook I saw for what I believe is the left end of the strip. Does anyone know where the right end of the strip should be placed? Any help would be appreciated, pictures or step by step processes. Thanks.

Re: Dell AIO A940 Encoder strip fell off
That's a tough one !
To do it yourself (and no guarantees of success) you would probably need a service manual and some technical skills. You could try emailing Dell support and in simple "user" language, tell them that the "thin clear belt" appears to be very loose (or something like that). Maybe they will have mercy and cut you a deal ![]() If they learn that you have been tinkering with their machine, they will probably not have mercy ![]() The other options are not good. Local Printer Service Center. Retirement. |
